I'm not sure what Julie means by this -

There are two ways, methinks, to interpret her bizarre comment here:

1. She doesn't realize she's just condemned herself and 99% of the Bloggernacle, being completely blind to the fact she and her cohorts are constantly holding themselves up as authorities while pointedly ignoring any and all legitimate criticisms of their narcissism.

2. She believes you have to destroy the Church in order to save it.

(Me, I think the answer is all of the above).

I agree with her. Down with pseudo-authoritative bloggernacle pontificators! Starting with Julie.

One big difference is that I don't want to destroy the Bloggernacle to save it - I just want to destroy it.

Note that the OP was critiquing the views of an individual who was openly identified as "conservative".

Say the "C" word on the bloggernacle, and most of its followers will begin foaming at the mouth, abandon rational thought, and pile on. It's positively Pavlovian.

Hang on, MC. I don't believe for a minute that you want to destroy the nacle. That would give you nothing to write about and no forum for your blather. You need the nacle much more than it needs you. You need it almost as much as people like Julie do.

No. I long for the sweet, sweet embrace of oblivion. I am an abstract entity that exists only on the interwebs, and I was created by the 'Nacle.

I am the sum total of the excess fear, loathing, and self-righteous bile created by what the 'Nacle spews out.

Once it's gone, I will vanish. I never asked to be created, but now that I have been, I have nothing but disdain and contempt for those who (inadvertently) created me.

And if you believe that, well . . .

Well, Anonymous2 just took the idea for my next post. Oh, well. I suppose if I'm every exorcised from the internets, (s)he can take over for me.

There's some "interesting" stuff over at New Cool Ting tang walla walla bing bang and 9 Moonshiners I might write on.

Oh, I think you could expose the idolatry of Wilfried and Cynthia L. much more eloquently and entertainingly than I could. Any discussion where Greenwood is the only person making the barest amount of sense, is just begging to be correlated.
