Remember the [Silliness]!

This is
10% discipleship,
20% sanctification,
15% concentrated power of justification,
5% substitution,
50% repentance,
And 100% reason to remember the silliness of the bloggernacle!

Y'all are gettin' a mite too predictable-like

Conference time.  So what do we get at BCC?

Desire for Boyd K. Packer to just frickin' die already? Check.

Frustration that a female leader in the church doesn't toe the FMH/BCC PC party line?  Check.

Random commentator shocked that people at BCC dare disagree with the GAs?  Check.

Lots of acronyms used by me?  Check.

BCC needs to step up its game.  They're getting boring and predictable.

Sorry, J. Max

but that's Margaret Young's area of expertise.  You are a conservative, so no matter how much you post videos like this, she will still call you a racist for disagreeing with Obama.

And yet

you still support the Bloggernacle, Jonathan.  It seems your self awareness only covers groups you no longer belong to.  Should I list the number of bloggernacle types who fit your description of  "internal critiques BYU and the church from people who subsequently moved to a position of external critique." *cough*Kaimi*cough*Dehlin*cough*Icouldgoonforalongtime*cough*

That "nasty feeling that I was aiding an agenda I wasn’t aware of at the time and wouldn’t have been entirely happy about" - frankly, bro, you're aiding and abetting still.

I don't get it.

I think Kaimi is trying for some sort of silly sarcasm or bizarre belligerence or perhaps a partial peri-parody of Card's own mysterious megalomania.  But frankly, the real courage comes with disagreeing with Kaimi.  When it came out Kaimi doesn't really believe in the church - who got kicked off the Tired & Shopworn blog?

Kaimi is one of the untouchables of the 'Nacle - the tight inner circle, living in a protected cocoon, believing themselves attacked by the terrible forces of orthodoxy, when in fact, they belong to a society where they just pat each other on the back about how awesome they are.  It's like his attack on Card is political and psychological projection or something.

I know who I would convert!

I would choose Steve Evans.  It might actually be interesting to see what it was like if he was actually converted to the actual Gospel, rather than to the "cult of personality only tangentially related to the Gospel" that he currently practices.

A short snark about Kristine's post

When women like Kristine actually understand the Gospel (and stop confusing their personal desires with what God should be doing), then talks like Elder Cook's really will be unnecessary.

Until then, they'll just keep teaching and preaching the truth, and Kristine and her ilk will keep being willfully blind.

End of Line.

We must stop this abomination. Only same sex wrestling is ordained of God.

Forget the clash of clearly oversized egos going on.  The real problem here is that our society has been infected by a curse that threatens to destroy it.  Opposite sex wrestling is a plague on this land.  Only same sex wrestling is ordained of God.  Only men should be allowed to wrap their legs around other men while grunting and groaning.  Only women should press their faces into the chests of other women while sweating mightily.

The LDS church needs to stand firm on this principle and push for a Constitutional amendment.  Opposite-sex wrestling - NEVER! Same-sex wrestling - FOREVER!

Ardis is anything but polite, neutral, or friendly.

I don't do facebook (having no face - or a body for that matter), but an astute reader has notified me that Ardis, the calm, non-partisan voice of reason, has just likened conservatives to terrorists on facebook, merely for not supporting Obamacare.

Frankly, I don't want to hear any more complaining about Beck and his insane Nazi analogies.  Yes - Beck is insane.  But get your own house in order first, losers.

Not that this will change anything.  People will still praise Ardis for her even-handedness and calm demeanor.  Whateves.
